Cobi's block complete

Here is my work on Cobi's block completed. I added the motif I showed in the previous post.
I felt that the jugendstil fabric needed to be balanced so I added the 'weighty' basket of flowers. The basket is a scrapbooking charm that works perfectly for baskets. I forget I have them most of the time.... I wanted the flowers to be symmetrical and quite stylised. Mission accomplished there.
I didn't actually do any seam treatments on this block. That's a first. There is one more person to work on the block, she has two seams and the top left patch. However, I added to Bonnie's fan seam in the top right. I wanted to bring the darker pink up and around the block, from the basket to the darker fabric, so enter the fargo roses. The light patch below seemed really empty, so the vines worked to fill that space. They may yet be beaded.
This is the last block for the Apple Blossoms RR. I have absolutely enjoyed this project. The ladies are exemplary stitchers who really took the time to add beautiful stitching to each and every block. This is what round robins are all about. It takes alot of thought and time to make a single block RR look good, and all of these blocks have gone home looking wonderful. Thanks Ladies. I ook forward to the next time!

The whole block is so beautiful, I can't single out one thing I like best. The idea of the face in the vines is neat, and I love the charm you used with the basket, but it's how the whole thing looks together that is the best. =)
