Hi...and bye.....

I am just home for a couple of days to do wash and pack for ....camping! I am so not a camper. Have I told you that before? Anyway, I am not a camper, but a camping we will go, a camping we will go, hi ho the merrio, a camping we will go! I have wine...
So I got some stitching done, and here is a peek at some of the givaway postcards for this year. Yes I am going to continue to do the giveaways, I enjoy them, and I guess y'all do to as you comment each month. These are all done on hand-dyed cotton, and embellished with the Sassa Lynne threads. I LOVE them.

One of these will be given away for the month of January ( I am not saying which one) Leave a comment on this post, and I will do the draw when I get back from...camping....

Hope you all had a lovely christmas and new year. I had a great new year...no hangover, despite comsuming rather alot of alcohol. We danced alot which I think worked it off.

See you when I get back (if I get back)

Happy New Year Jo, I wish you'll have fun at the camping: it's not so bad :-)))
The postcards are beautiful!

Hi, Jo!

Gosh, I hope you have a regular blast while you're camping. Is that done outdoors? You don't mean, by any chance, "camping out in a hotel room"? You really mean the outdoor-no-running-water-for-a-shower-type-camping?

ANYWAY - I love ALL those postcards! They're so pretty! I especially like the blue one. I just realized that most seam treatments travel over the seam. I wish I had thought of that when I was doing that goldwork thingamabob.

Enjoy your excursion!

Hi Jo, Wishing you and your family a wonderful new year. Wishing you a fun time camping, just close your eyes and picture yourself where you would really like to be. Let me know if that works. :)
Love your postcards. I figure if I enter often enough I might just get lucky one of these days. :)

Happy 2009 to you and yours, Jo!

First off...as I sit here looking out at a field of snow...know that I for one am jealous that you are going camping! Second...thanks for the chuckle...the wine should make the trip totally awesome! LOL

And...these postcards...absolutely loverly! Allie mentioned those Buttonhole Stitch leaves that she added to her Cottage Project...and that she had seen them on your work...they are way cool! Glad to see them in such detail.

Look forward to hearing about your adventure when you return. Have fun!

Those are all LOVELY...and i really like that variegated thread. It really adds to the stitches! I may have to get some myself...where did you purchase yours?

As for camping...are you guys roughing it or staying in an RV? To meet somewhere in the middle, you guys should try renting a cabin somewhere...then everyone is happy :)
I live in a log cabin, so its like camping, but with all the amenities! :) Hope you guys have fun just the same!
cheers!
p.s. isnt it a little cold to be camping right now? brrrrrrr!

Lovely seams. Too good to be true, very beautiful and simple too. Can I try some of them so look easy and being a beginner something has to look easy and beautiful for me to take the plunge. I like the way the designs curve and not always a straight line along the seam.

Wonderful postcards!! I have a great admiration for anyone that can hand embroider, and yours is just so beautiful.
On the camping front, done a lot and still do, it can be trying, but just think about what you would be doing if you were home at that given moment, camping suddenly becomes a lot more fun :) I remember once doing the washing up in a Portuguese campsite, washing up is never a nice job, but when your contending with frogs trying to get into your washing up water, puts on whole different light on it. Expect the unexpected and you'll love it.

Hope you are a happy camper, LOL. Love the leaf postcard, I can never do nice leaves

Glad you're back Jo! Don't feel bad, a few years ago I bought a camper and a Jeep to pull it only to realize...I despise camping. heehee

Those are gorgeous! I love the variegated thread in the flowers, and your stitches are so even. Were they free hand or done with waste canvas?

Phyllis said...

Oh, you'll have fun camping...even if you aren't a camper. I used to love camping but don't get to go anymore.

Your stitching is perfectly gorgeous. I'd be honored to win some. :)

You are very brave to send your
postcards through the mail. I had
a cross stitched one sent to the
dead letter office, where they
are shredded, because in the address I stitched Avenue instead of Lane.

Your stitching is exquisite!
