Bags finished

I have finished the green bag, and also lined the brown one while I was there - just the inside of the handles to hand sew. The green one is about the size of a bucket, so enough room for ALL my crap!!

You can see the bag hanging here. I like to wear my bags over my head, across my body (gives you two free hands), so the strap is long. Behind it is the first CQ bag I made. I sewed a apnel onto a premade calico bag. Still use that everyday for Playcentre.

I forgot to tell you that the quilt show is on this weekend!! Can't wait to see my quilt hanging with all the rest. SO EXCITING!!

Just a couple more days to be in the November draw. Don't forget you get a squishy to celebrate my 3rd bloggaversary as well as the postcard.

Those bags are so cool. Yours are inspiring me to find my pattern and make one for myself.

Oh, thanks Jacqui (and snowball).I am not going until Sunday but I can't wait to see it hanging. Snowball, unfortunately I didn't win anything, the ribbon would of been my mum or nana's quilts, they both got something...unless of course my mum was telling me porkys...She says ALL her friends (all 3 of them) have voted viewers choice, so thats four with Jacqui!! You never know...lol

That's some great bags! I love the way you used the tatted lace.

That is just beautiful. I ordered some dyed lace and think I might make one of these with it.

Hi Jo

Waving from down here in sunny Florida except it has turned very cold and need our long underwear.

That tatting is the most exquisite I have ever seen. You are going to have us all making those bags except they won't look like that. I have her book and looked it up so I guess I will be making mine shortly. the long handle is a great idea.

I can't believe you will not win a ribbon for your black quilt. You should see about entering it in some of the American shows, like Houston or Paducah. Let us know when you get to the show. Maybe you will be pleasantly surprised. Good luck.

Hugs
