I'm Back...AGAIN!! ....and APRIL giveaway

After more computer dramas, I am back, I hope for a good while this time. I have found the whole episode a bit depressing really. It is amazing how much we rely on technology to stay in touch with people...even people I see regularly. In my 'real' life at Playcentre, I see people often, but we really only communicate about issues indepth via email, because we are always busy when we are actually together. I have also not felt particularly motivated to stitch either, although I have worked on RR blocks. Below is Leslie's Jewels on Black. These blocks are just beautiful.

I added the 8 vines radiating from the button, and all the stitching to the right of that. LouAnne did the spider and web tho, I added the embellishment around it. I also did the button cluster in the middle of the block (above). Leslie's block had a light and airy feel to it, so the challenge was for me to still feel I had 'encrusted' without creating anything to heavy or overpowering on the block (as per my usual style!!) I have carried plenty of gold and red thru my work to tie in with those colours around the rest of the block. One more person to work on this block and it heads home.

APRIL GIVEAWAY...
This is the postcard for April. A bit of an experiment with wired ribbons. Lovely texture on the green one.
If you would like to be in to win this postcard, please leave a comment on THIS post. I will draw the winner next weekend.
GOOD LUCK

I must apologise for the rather bizarre comment (read "novel") that slipped thru while I was away. If you happened to read I am very sorry. It has been deleted now.

Well, I am very happy to be back.

I love the curvy red seam in the upper right corner. I'll no doubt try something similar soon. Welcome back. I've been out-of-pocket myself.
Beautiful postcard, too.

Would love to actually SEE a cq postcard; never have before, but enjoy all the pictures. I'm so glad you're back on line. I missed you every morning when I clicked on my link to your blog and found nothing new. Mailed your RR block to Hideko this morning, by the way!

I found your blog while "surfing" through some others, and I'm glad that I did! I have been dying to get started in Crazy Quilting, but haven't taken that first step yet. I've bought fabric, books, embellishments...you name it....I just don't know where to start as far as a pattern is concerned.

I'm glad to have found your blog and your lovely work. You are a true inspiration and I have bookmarked your site to return. Hopefully, drooling over your art work will give me the encouragement that I need to get started.
