gifties, goodies and bloggerversaries
Well , gosh darn it, I missed my bloggerversary. 2 years on the 16th of Nov. Sharon B has just done an interesting post on blogging, particularly commenting. I have my old faithful commenters, but I know there are way more of you who read than who comment. I appreciate you all. You keep me creating. I myself, am not a good commeter. I blogroll about 120 blogs, and probably 1/2 of those post regularly. I read all of them, but comment far less frequently. So anyway to draw you all out, and to celebrate 2 years of blogging, I WILL be doing a giveaway. I will put pics up tomorrow. I have 4 goodies up for grabs. Just to be extra mean, I am also going to put my comments on to moderated, so you all have to comment to be in to win...
Now on to gifties. I recevied this lovely pack of devinely aromatic goodies from the lovely Pat Winter. Most of it is for the comfort doll packages (rest assured donators, it's in the pipeline), but she also slipped in one of her impossibly small CQ pendants, some prints, and the charm that all the contributors are getting. Thank you Pat.
I picked up these tatted doilies on TradeMe (NZ Ebay). There were 3 of them and they are a little different. They appear to incorporate crochet stitches in there too. Some one has spent many hours making these, I hope they will forgive the fact that I am just going to cut them up, although they will be well utilised in a project that will take just as many hours to create.

Happy anniversary Jo, I like your blog and even if I don't comment often I always visit it!
Gosh isn't that tatted doily lovely.
Happy Anniversary Jo, I read your blog every day and want to thank you for your inspirations.
One question, how do you cut up the doily without it coming apart?
Happy anniversary Jo, LOL, I too read Sharon's blog about why someof us don't comment more often and it got me thinking. So my goal is to start posting at least one comment a day! I know how much I like comments and thus I should also comment.
I enjoy reading your blog on a regular basis ... hope you keep on blogging and celebrate many more anniversaries!
Hi Jo You know I'm out there reading, and I try to comment occasionally, just so ya know! I've really enjoyed Sharon's thoughts on comments and all the commenter's thoughts too, very interesting to read.
Those of you who asked about the doily, Tatting seems to be quite hardy when it comes to cuuting them up, it doesn't unravle too much. After cutting I make sure that the raw edges are well sewn down under the seam.
Happy blogaversary! Two years does not feel so long mind you neither does my blogging activities.
Happy bloggerversary. Sometimes it's hard to imagine a time when we weren't all here!
What lovely gifts from Pat. She is always so sweet about little extras in packages.
The doilies are really interesting. I've not seen anything quite like them before. I buy doilies to cut up sometimes. Usually they are crocheted, because I rarely find anything like that tatted. I cut tatted edgings off handkerchiefs, though.
Happy blogiversary!
Hi Jo, happy bloganniversary, I read your blog on a regular basis and always enjoy it, and your lovely stitching.
P.S. Just so you know a little tid-bit of info tatting only unravels to the nearest ring. It's one of the most durable handmade lace out there!
I am late for the anniversary, but I am normaly arround to enjoy your blog!
