Black CQ- Block #8

Here is block #8 all done. I added the bullion flowers in a pink verigated perle cotton . I am finding that I want to add more to the blocks as I go along (oh dear) , so I keep revisiting them and doing a little here and there....will this project ever be done? Anyway , on that note. I issue a challenge to my readers. I decided that I wanted a unifying element that was present in each of the blocks. Click on the pic to make it mucho biggo, and leave a comment if you think you know what that element (stitch) might be.
First correct answer will get one of my CQ postcards sent to you. Please make sure that I can contact you. If your comments are set to 'no reply' please leave your email in the comment.

Hi Jo. Lovely blocks!!! I see the fly stitch in each block. Is that it?

I have to learn the name of stitches. I mean the feather stitch!

Bullion stitch roses? I agree with Linda - lovely blocks!

A few stitches look like they're repeated in all the blocks. The element that looks most unifying to me is the French knots that are along the lines of curves of the other stitches.

These blocks are just lovely.
I would guess the feather stitch.

I really thought it was those pale turquoise knots. If not, maybe the up and down buttonhole?
