Comfort Doll arrival

My first New Zealand doll has arrived on my doorstep. Thank Joy, in Napier. She is lovely. I the colours in the pic are quite true, lovely jewel tones. And beautiful , soft velvet on the back.
Come the rest of you kiwis. These dolls don't need to be CQed, they don't even need to be fabric, just strudy and no bigger than 6".

Hi Jo

I've come to your blog through a very circuitous route.

The last sentence of your post intrigues me - "they don't even need to be fabric"... can I knit a doll? Not that knitting is not fabric, but you know what I mean! I just heard about Pat's project last night and thought I was excluded because I don't sew/quilt/patchwork! I'd be happy to try knitting one (I've never made any kind of doll before though I have knitted teddies for tragedies!)

Is there any Aussie 'collector' for this project?

She's beautiful. And she's just a perfect fit for holding on to.
