I'm back...with postcards

I'm back from my National Education Meeting (Playcentre). Had a lovely weekend. We were housed at the Linclon University in Christchurch. There are some wonderful old buildings attached to this University, not that we got to see alot of it, we do spend most of these meetings, well, meeting. But it was nice to catch up with poeple you only get to see a couple of times a year.
The next one is in Roto-vegas. Not sure if I will go to that one. I like to fly to these things, and this would be a car trip, but we will see. I do LOVE to fly actually. I am totally blown away by being above the clouds. I could do it all day long, apart from the fact that I could not stitch on the plane. Goodness me, I might kill someone with a needle....
Speaking of needles, below is what I got stitched over the weekend. I was so organised, with each postcard and threads in a separate baggie, all ready to pull out and go. This was quite challenging, but really fun. I like dodads, and beads, and SRE, and all those lovely things, but I love these postcards. It was a bit taxing to start with, but then I really got into it, and just kept adding to the seams, and adding and adding... I am so psyched to start my black quilt, especially as my Sassa Lynn (NAYY) threads arrived from Susan today. Can't wait to start stitching.
My favourite colour combo ( in fabrics), the blue and gold. And below, pink and black. YUM.
ta ta for now now

Glad you had a great time, Jo. Welcome Home!

The postcards are lovely. Especially, the pink and black. WOW!!! It's easy to forget how pretty just needlework alone can be.

Welcome back, glad you had a good time and got to catch up a bit with friends, as well as the business of the meeting. So airlines over there do that silly thing with the needles and scissors and stuff, too?

I love your postcards. Pink is not my favorite color, as everyone knows, but it looks really good with your black - reminds me of my older sister in the 1950s. =) But the blue is really my favorite, too. Beautiful stitching on both!

Rockin as usual. I do a lot of of flying for work and I get sick of being told I can't take needlework on the place because of those pesky terrorists! I figured out how to get around it and take my needlework with me - I'm going to send you a wee stitching pack for flying.
