Long time no blog....

.. it seems that way, anyway.
I have been busy stitching though. I am doing up more of the ID/Ccardholders. Below are the CQed ones - not quite done.
the dyed lace ones
and an AWFUL pic (sorry, camera having a hissy) ones of the SRE ones
And here is a progress pic for the green spirit doll. This just need to be backed, turned and stuffed. I have another one I am embellishing at the moment.
Easter school holidays have just started here in NZ. So I will be in and out for the next couple of weeks. We just had Ben's birthday last week, and it is Brooke's this week! She starts school after the holidays, and I am SOOOOOO excited about that!! The weather is also starting to cool here. Winter is on the way.

...good to see you're keeping busy! :) It seems like winter here too, although we're supposed to be looking at Spring now!

You are really getting a lot of those spirit dolls made! I like the colors in this one. You are so busy! My husband would say it keeps you out of the bars and off the streets - that's his joke all the time.

Jo, your card holders are such a clever idea!

Hahaha, I was just a bid "shocked" to read that "winter is on the way". Yes of course, I did not think about this! So I hope your cooler days won't be too cold! Stay warm and happy stitching!

It is getting cold isn't it and just when I was really getting into summer!

If Brooke starts school after the holidays does this mean you have more time on your hands for quilting?! If yes, lucky you, I'm so jealous.

Hi Jo. Your work is inspiring me as usual. I want to make some card holders too and I 'must' make time to make a Spirit doll.

Good to see you, Jo. Always know you are stitching on something! Are you still making items for sale at shows and shops?

All the items are so nice. Your light green art doll will become lovely! I love the color and the embellishment.

Beautiful! I have to make one! These are so popular now. I think I'll hang one from my rear view mirror to keep me focused while driving. Spring is here and all the nuts are out on the road with cell phones glued to their ear not paying attention to stop signs. Argh!

You've been missed! You do such lovely work. When you have time perhaps you'll discuss the pros & cons of embellishing the spirit dolls before or after assembly & stuffing. After reading a caveat on the CQI list I stopped embellishing and stitched my doll together -- good thing because there were terrible things wrong (I made my own pattern). Still, it makes sense to embellish first, easier, too, as long as you stay within the edges of final seam.

Jo, sorry if this is the wrong place to reply but I don't know another way to reach you. You left a comment on my blog and yes I'd love to have some links for swaps and round robins. Thanks Annetteb

WOW! What busy mommy you are. Your ID pouches are just darling. And you can give the camera all the credit you want BUT we know it's really your needlework showing itself!
