Pink Bag II....completed

Excellent. Another present done. This bag was a little trickier than the others, the lining was a bit big, and the handles were difficult to attach, but, all in all, it's turned out pretty good. It's a cute shape, with the triangular sides.

On a sad note, my poppa isn't doing very well. The doctors decided he needed a peg fed, but it turns out that after his stomach cancer surgery, the little bit of stomach he has left is postitioned up behind his heart, so this is not an option. At the moment, he is being fed thru a nasal tube, which he keeps pulling out! and they keep giving him morphine, which I guess he needs, but he has a terrible reaction to it in the form of hallucinations. He had a bad turn this morning and the family were called in, but he rallied again, so he may be here for xmas yet.
Although it will be terrible sad to lose my poppa, he is not happy with the quality of life he is currently enduring, and it would be best for him to go. I worked with the elderly for many years and I have strong feelings about a person being allowed to decide their own fate.......but thats for a more politcal blog.

Beautiful bag. I'm glad you got it done in time.

I'm sorry to hear about your father. I hope he is around for the holidays.

Isn't it funny how this happens to everyone at the same time - Shell has just lost her Pop in Brisbane as well, and we have been quietly sitting with my very Dear M-I-L (she is 92) on shifts since Friday. She is taking her time going, but she will go when she is ready, and not before. But we chose no artifical feeding, as that was always what she wanted, and she is peaceful.

So I am travelling with you, and thinking of you.

Much Love

Linda
