I was reminded of these pics I took last week when I had to address an envelope for Magnolia, Texas. I LOVE my magnolia. I love all magnolia's. Such beautiful and noble trees adding a shot of colour to the landscape after a cold winter. This is the first bloom on my tree.

The only magnolia's we have around the midwest (that I have ever seen, anyway) are white. Is this a beautiful pink? That would be beautiful!
Well Jo I say that is a very unusual bud and talk about very striking in the B&W too!!! Now I hope that you'll be blogging this bloom opening up too? Wonder what a full tree of these will look like? HMMMMM!
