Back to black
I feel like I need a change, soooo, back to black until I decide what I want to change to!
The meeting was good. Fabulous venue etc, good company for the drive there and back.
Here is what I achieved.
The blue postcard is not finished yet. My bullions are a bit funky, but then nothing in nature is perfect.
Another brown and black. I am liking this combination at the moment. The colours are actually nicer in reality.
And another olive. The colours don't show so well for me, but they are a lovely green.

Freakin' gorgeous, as always! I've started using the purple pen, too. I kind of hold my breath when I am using it for fear it won't fade like it should. Have you found any fabrics that hold onto the purple, rather than letting it fade away?

Oh - gosh - I like them all, but I love the bottom one. It's so pretty and delicate. Every time I see your stuff, Jo, I think I need to Try Again with the CQing. *sigh*

I love your embroidery. I'm not that familiar with fabric postcards....are they actually meant to be sent? And out of curiosity..what does the back look like?

I love the black and brown and the stitching on the olive green one is exquisite - i wish the colours show better in the photo. Your embroidery is very distinctive - it is so neat and even - beautiful.
Hi - I've recently found your blog and love your stitching. Those postcards look fantastic - I love the clean design you've managed to achieve even though there's a lot going on. Very cool. I'm alwys impressed by such even stitching too, as I find that difficult.

What do you use to mark your quilt? How (in the world) do you keep your stitches so uniform?
These are both of my stitch demons! Keep the inspiration coming, it is better than fireworks!
shawkl. I use a purple erasable pen. I usually only mark height and curves I want to keep uniform, otherwise it is eyeballed.

Beautiful work Jo, I hope it is ok, I have saved a copy of the pictures to my computer for inspiration. I tried drawing them out, just not the same as your beautiful work.
I don't know about being (just)an inspiration for beginners Jo, I've been embroidering for years and you inspire me constantly.
Your fine stitching is so precise it could have been done by machine. Your love for the needle and thread show.
