I like both, but I guess that isn't an option.:)) I do think it is easier to read with the lighter background.

I love the new look and it is so much easier to read. But you have to go with what YOU like. I had loved Sherry Sarafini's website with the black background and did mine with a dark background because the photos do pop. But after a while I hated to go see it and changed it to lite colors because it was more comforable for ME. Gerry

I love your new look, that header is lovely! Like yourself I love a black background, but lots of my visitors found it difficult to read. I can see the response is exactly the same here.

I like this much better, black backgrounds are hard to read.

And overdone...

Hi Jo

I love your stitching on black but like the new lighter look for reading. That tells you something about my age here.

It's my first visit, but I say the light background looks good! Mine is light too, (only light green instead), and I think it's relaxing and easy on the eyes. After all, it's our work that really makes the blog, huh?=)

Yes. I liked the other, but this is nice, too. It's good to get a fresh perspective now and then. =)

I like the new one as its easier to read - and I read the text not just look at the images. But I am one of those that really dislike black backgrounds - I wince everytime I see them but would not normally say so as it is personal choice

Yes two thumbs up for the new look! I have to admit it is easier to read even though I liked the black background. Getting old is tough!

Oh, better, better, better! Much easier to read, Jo. I tend to want to click out right away when I see a black background - although your site is generally an exception because I like your work!

I preferred the black, a black blog is the Jo's blog. Black or Pink your Work is beautiful.

I admit I wondered if I was at the right Jo's, but then your smiling face was there to greet me!

I'm one who says, a change once in a while is good for the juices! I read lots of comments about your work showing up better on black, so I wondered if you could change the 'surround' of only the images to black? Have to check that out myself and comment back to you.

I do think your header shows up much better, and agree that the reading is easier.

Yes, I love the light background. It looks so fresh, plus now I can really read it:) Black is so hard to read the print on.
HUGZ:)

Jo, I must say I prefer black - I agree with Judith when she says it makes your beautiful stitching pop out. I don't understand the problem with reading text on a black background. I must confess to being old and it doesn't bother me. Whatever background you use is wonderful, however, when it includes your beautiful work.

Be sure and check the upcoming April issue of CQMagOnline. My article will include the work you submitted for the Ideas and Inspiration Challenge.

I'm a big fan of your beautiful work and visit your blog often. Thanks for the inspiration.
