Thanks Debbie and Jasmin. Debbie I just eyeball the stitching, honestly, I don't measure, and I (rarely)mind if it is uneven. I will use a disappearing ink pen to mark curving seams , or things like buttonhole wheels, fans etc,but basic seam treatments come as they come. Jasmin, yes all my work is hand stitched, and the stitches are actually not that delicate, I do my stitching quite big. LOL I have put you both in the draw for the Feb giveaway.
Thanks a lot for putting me in the draw for the February giveaway, Jo. The more I see your work, the more I love it! It's fantastic! I think the embroidery really makes all the difference in the final outcome of the quilts. It makes them much more beautiful and exquisite!
I love the postcards, especially the third from the top. They are all so pretty. I like the way you do the backs, too. You do the buttonhole on seams, don't you? Just the edging that is troublesoome?
What great stitching! Each postcard is uniquely wonderful, yet they are all related... ...and I got to see one for myself yesterday when I was visiting Freda in Mt. Dora! Really a thrill for me to see your work up close and personal....;-)
Oh, Jo! You're a stitcher after my own heart. I'm loving all the layered stitches on the postcards. You work is amazing! I'm SO glad I'll have some of it on my Jewels block to cherish!
All my babes are at school now, and while the part-time work cuts into my time to create, I must still do it. It's like oxygen.
I'm still a Crazy Quilter at heart, but enjoy experimenting with new ideas and mediums.
I'm always ready to learn, and always willing to teach.
