Attaching faces
I had a couple of comments about attaching the faces to your work. I have put holes in the faces before baking. I believe other glue them onto a piece of fabric, then stitch that fabric onto the block, and then bead around that. I think it is bad CQ etiquette to glue thing directly on to blocks!! I have glued things onto blocks that are for me, but not for others. I will ask around a little and see what other suggestions I get. The holes worked well for me.
Here is a pic of my 'holes'
...and here is a face attached and beaded around. It is not perfect, but I am happy.

Hey Jo--I put the cab on my CQI purse with a twist of very fine netting; use a heavy needle to punch a hole in your backing for the twist to go thru. Alternatively, glue the cab onto a piece of crinoline, cut the crino close to the cab, and then sew or bead the crino to the fabric--Jackie Y taught me that one!
Love those green faces!

I thought there were no rules to CQ -- that's what makes it fun!! : ))
"It's not perfect"
Bullsh*t!
I looks bloody perfect from where I am sitting!!
Please excuse the rude outburst of swearing.
As you were!
Oh, & I have a thing against using glue too! It just seems a little 'shoddy' to me.
Put the holes in first? We should have known you'd thought of that!!!
your faces look great
Great face, and I like how you attach it, too. Some friends made all kinds of jewelry with Fimo, but I never tried it. I may have to look for some when I get back to the big city.
what a wonderful idea! It looks mystic!
I love these Jo, the colours go together beautifully. The spirit doll is going to be lovely when it's finished.
Thanks so much for the 'tips'. Holes should have been a no-brainer. LOL
Great tip Jo, about glueing the face to a piece of fabric first, I have a face I was given with no holes, and have been dithering about glueing it down...didn't feel right, I solved my dilemma by avoiding doing the project altogether.... I can finish it now :)
