I thought I would try out this new pages option. Not really sure what I am doing yet, but that's half the fun right? You can always count on blogger for fun!! :/
So I have been doodling lately, not sewing. Not sure where the sewing mojo has gone, but keeping my hands (and brain) busy, definitely stops me from sliding down into a deep, dark hole of boredom and overeating!!
I will add the new doodles to the top of the page so if you want to check back, no need to scroll thru screeds of previous pics.
If you would like to view extra large, or leave a comment on an individual drawing, then check out my flickr .
The style of doodling I have tried to embrace is "Zentangle".

ReplyDeleteI just must say that your zentangle is amazingly beautiful. I love each and every one I see on flickr. You have a clean yet intriguing style.
ReplyDeleteThis is incredible stuff, Jo. Maybe better than the CQ. This looks like majorly interesting artwork, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm relatively new to Zentangles and ran across your blog. I think it's fabulous! Your designs are wonderful and very inspiring. I've recently started my own blog so it was fun to see what you're doing with yours. Keep up the great job!!!
ReplyDeleteYour tangles are so inspiring, Jo! I love *everything* about them. More, more, more!!!
ReplyDeleteJo....you are the one who gave me the desire to tangle....your sense of style and space is amazing. I love what you do!
ReplyDeleteOh my heavens!!!!!!!!! Your work is amazing. I just found your blog and I am blown away by your awesome creations. I am new to Zentangles and would love to watch you work. Do you draw in pencil first or do you draw with the pen from the start? Your work looks so perfectly done. Thanks for any help you can give.
ReplyDeleteTrish from Canada
Hi Trish. I do utitilise a pencil in my work - not true zentangle style, but my pleasure comes from it being "perfect" (to my eye).
ReplyDeleteYou can see much more of my work here

I am a newbie to Zentangle and stumbled across your work on flickr. It is amazing! 8] When ever it I get stuck with the shading etc. I use your work as inspiration. I was wondering how much of the tangles you "plan" and how much just happens?
ReplyDeleteHi Lizzie. I dont usually start with an idea in mind, but once I start I would probably class myself as a planner. I use my pencil, and make sure the dimensions are pleasing to the eye etc before using the pen (so not strictly "zentangle")
ReplyDeleteHope to see you on flickr
Jo
Jo! You are an incredible artist no matter what medium you are working in! And I too would be like you, I would start with pencil... I have been thinking about trying the Zentangle... but I have something else in mind... I will send you an email.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I just started do this a week ago and have been enjoying it, it really is relaxing.
ReplyDeleteI love looking at all your art here. You really are super talented. I aspire to be like you!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love looking thru all of your tangles. You are just awesome! I've been doing tangling for about 8 months now, would love to be You when I grow up!! LOL, I'm going to be 64 come Monday!!! You totally inspire me!
ReplyDeleteWow - I just LOVE your Zentangles, always have, but it was such a pleasure to come across them all at once like that - and they look so good on the black background. I wish Flickr defaulted to a Black background, right off the top in the photostream!!
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks for the treat!
