Thanks for your comments on the kind of book you would like to see. Its a hard call, as I would not personally buy a book that gives me step by step instructions on recreating someone elses work. But, I do have a couple like that, and they are good reading for techniques and ideas etc.
Over at CQI, there has been alot of talk of paisleys, and March's monthly challenge is paisleys, sequins and shi-sha. Paisley always seems to create alot of interest....anyway, we decided we would do a motif swap and pictured are two motifs I have created so far. These have been a pleasure to stitch. No plan, no forward thought, no particular project in mind, just stitching for the sake of it. Excellent mojo rejuvination!
Beautiful paisleys Jo! I would love info on designing a block from start to finish. Balancing everything, etc.
ReplyDeleteHy Jo ... these are so cool! Yup ... distract thyself and the Mojo will flow!
ReplyDeleteI really like these especially using that sequin flower in it too. BUTTTTTT I LOVE your new one and I see it's not blogged as yet. THAT one is my FAVOURITE so far!!!!!!!!!! Hey who knows what else you will dream up when that MOJO of yours has escaped you as you say????
ReplyDeleteThese beaded paisleys are beauties!
ReplyDeleteHi Jo,
ReplyDeleteSo, do you have a paisley tutorial or a pattern you follow when making your paisleys? The blue one is fab!!!
