Her argument included the word 'artist' and other similar terms that don't come to my feeble mind at the moment. Made sense to me at the time but I never adopted the term myself.Magpie Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09930036522719103192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19023448.post-9578709139300317502007-05-06T10:42:00.000+12:002007-05-06T10:42:00.000+12:00That is a wonderful idea Jo. You might want to include a butterfly or two. It is a symbol of rebirth and I always put one on baptism gowns I make. I think it works for that meaning if you are christian or not.
Good Luck!
LauriLaurihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03062620918252629880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19023448.post-76390012260179251372007-05-06T00:56:00.000+12:002007-05-06T00:56:00.000+12:00Oh Jo that is a very sweet thing to do for your fr...Oh Jo that is a very sweet thing to do for your friend it brought tears to my eyes! As a Christian the cross is very important, it is a symbol and reminder of what Jesus did for us on the cross! When he died on the cross he paid for everyone's sin forever so all we have to do is ask for forgiveness and receive it, because of that when we look at the cross we see God's amazing love for each person.
If you'd like to find out a little more this link is a cool one:
http://www.billygraham.org/SH_StepsToPeace.asp

I can't wait to see how you embellish it I'm sure it's going to be beautiful! It will such a lovely gift and your friend will cherish it I'm sure!

Thanks for pointing us in the direction of the ric/rac roses. Chelle emailed me with basic directions and now with Sharon's tutorial, I absolutely have to do this! In fact, I have miles and miles of vintage (cotton) white ric/rac. I'm feeling the need to hand-paint it. Like I need one more thing to do!!!

Hugs,

Pam (kitty & me)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
