...was it worth it?? This is a seam treatment on block #19. It took 4 hours (at least) I usually do a seam in 20-30 mins. I can do a whole DYB in less than 4 hours! The petal are woven picots done in a variegated perle cotton, then there is the bullion buds, and finally the french knots. So, was it worth it. I think so.
Hi Jo I think it was worth it. There is certainly a sense of accomplishment doing such a time consuming element. That is why I mix simple combinations with the the more complex. It's a " here look at me moment" we alll need those. Great job!! Lauri

Oh, but this is no ordinary seam treatment! The needleweaving in there would be time consuming, I know from stumpwork pieces etc.
I agree with Lauri and Marie that it was well worth it and another good thing about it is that, if you want to do something similar in future, you know how to plan timewise, no?=)
